An estimated 3 BILLION PEOPLE watched LIVE 8 the greatest, greatest show on Earth. They came together with one message - make poverty history.

On Saturday July 2 2005 concerts took place in 10 venues. 150 bands and 1250 musicians played across the globe to ask people not to give their money, but to give their names.

On Wednesday July 6 2005, the Final Push concert took place in Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.

Over 30 million people from all around the world gave their names for the live8 list which was presented to Tony Blair, as chair of the G8, by representatives of LIVE 8 and the Global Call to Action against Poverty.

Couldn't have been made it clearer that we expect the politicians of this generation to end the scandal of stupid, immoral poverty.
